AGP on A7N266-VM

i bought an ATI Radeon 9800 8X video card, when i installed it it works fine, i do a 3d mark05 test and i get 1056. this is no good.

i have a 2000+ amd athlon XP on A7N266-VM Mobo
with 1 gig or rm

my current setting for the AGP Bus SPeed is set to 0x, i cn not change it in the bios there is no such setting. how on earth do you change. i v spent days looking for the answer on the net and noone can help. im desprate. my games dont run very well at all. fro other reports with simlar or same spec i should be gettin aroud 14000 on 3dmark.

i just want to be able to change to 4x

please help.
 
Your mobo supports AGPx4. You may need to set a jumper on the mobo, or a switch in the BIOS to turn off the onboard graphics. Some mobo's also automatically switch it off when you insert an AGP-card.
Also, in the BIOS there is most likely some setting to select VGA or AGP to start first, set this to AGP.
Make sure you uninstall the onboard-graphics drivers first before installing the AGP drivers.
