By default, most MS-DOS-based programs print directly to either the LPT1 port or to the LPT2 port. However, the output is not automatically routed across a redirector to a print share...

When a network printer is mapped or captured to use LPT1, local printing may not work properly

Hi I am having problems with my dell not detecting my CS4 Illustrator DVD so I can't even install it. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Thanks, I will try that...the program i need to use this for is a old proprietary regulatory software that requires your print to LPT1...it requires 132 columns. Would rather print to a TXT file and covert into excel or something and print to the network...etc.
