Unfortunately, only those with gargantuan pockets will be able to afford this card. Not even a fat wallet will suffice by itself, as MARS II has only been made in 999 copies, which means that a good connection or a firm reservation will be required...

Frustrating. That's probably the word that we will take away from this review. Quad-SLI isn't exactly a new technology and yet just getting the MARS 2 SLI setup to work was a mission itself, and that's without considering getting the various...

Final words and conclusion Conclusion time then. We had a blast with the ASUS Mars II -- really it's one of the products out there that no one can afford, yet everybody wants. A massive x-factor can be assigned to the product as it is just...

So, the Republic of Gamers MARS 2 then. It's two GTX580s on the same board and the performance very much indicates this. Throughout our testing it was no quicker than a pair of stock GTX580s in SLI and, in those tests where we didn't have a...

The ASUS MARS 2 is a very nice video card for the elite few that are willing to invest in one. The pros of this card far out-weigh the negatives and we hope that ASUS continues to bring products like this to market to satisfy the needs of die hard...

Asus made summarizing the MARS II’s performance easy for us. The Asus MARS II is quite simply the fastest single graphics card we have ever tested, bar none. With the exception of Metro 2033 when run at 2560x1600, where the Radeon HD 6990 AUSUM...

The ASUS MARS II Dual GPU GTX 580 3GB graphics card isn't something that is built for most gamers. Instead it is built to show off the engineering talents at ASUS, the capability the company has to produce truly one-of-a-kind designs and to push...

Companies like ASUS have a their own design engineers and every so often the management will unlock their collar and let them run free. When that happens you end up with a ridiculous product that pushes the boundaries for what can be done with...

TLDR; The Asus ROG Mars II, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, is the fastest single card GPU in the world today, even edging the higher clocked SLi GTX 580 Matrix Platinum in some benchmarks. Much like the brilliant but fatally flawed...

The ASUS MARS II is really a monster graphics card. It demonstrates the awesome power of two GeForce GTX 580 GPUs running at full clock speeds. Thanks to the massive design improvements the card delivers an almost 20% performance increase compared to...

When it comes to creating custom, eye poppingly powerful graphics cards not many companies can compete with ASUS. They will be remembered for the ARES and MARS video cards, as they outperformed anything on the market at the time while costing as...

Presented with a single graphics card costing £1,149 our first reaction is to tell you, dear reader, that money is far better spent on a multi-GPU combination of this card and that. Then we'd normally go on to say that 1600p-level performance...
