New vehicle physics are great.

Extremely detailed, lush visual presentation.
Hyper-realistic combat will satisfy even the most die-hard sim enthusiasts.
Huge variety in terms of gameplay scenarios.
Controls feel clunky.

I think it's safe to say that no-one really saw DayZ coming. In much the same way that a simple mod called Counter Strike changed FPS gaming forever, DayZ, a mod for Arma 2, amazed everyone with an apparently simple game of zombie survival across...100

Arma III’s complexity is a double-edged sword. It takes a long time to comprehend, but once you’re comfortable enough with its mechanics to take advantage of them under pressure, you’re able to engage in a kind of large-scale tactical combat that’s simply not offered elsewhere.70

This game is perfect for hardcore military sim enthusiasts, so if Uncle Jerry just got back from Afghanistan and wants to relive the glory days in real time for like 5 straight hours, get him a copy, too. Arma III clearly has some charm, and I do have a soft spot for all the realistic modeling and massively open-world dynamic, but unless this is right up your alley...81

For now, I think it means you're better off sticking with Arma II. Underwater missions, accomplished vehicle physics, an impressive array of player stances and fantastic visuals can't make up for a too-big map full of nothing and a handful of missions most computers and servers can't fully handle. I'll tell you what though, Arma III is going to be a great game in 2015.72

And it’s mildly disappointing that Bohemia delayed the release of the game’s campaign, presumably in order to get Arma 3 out ahead of Battlefield 4. For most of us, the self-authored war that awaits in co-op is worth tolerating all of this.84
