Awesome four player action.
Cool new weapons.
New zombies are great.
Great play modes.
Solid Mac performance.
Improves on L4D in almost every aspect.
Three new Special Infected and Uncommon Infected are a welcome addition.
Two new modes; realism for the hardcore and scavenge for the multiplayer orientated.
Extremely good replayability.
Melee Weapons.
Longer Levels.
Chainsaws.
Much more difficult.
Seemingly constant flow of enemies.
Less pacing control means less tension.
Bots have not really improved, they still cannot pick up explosives and have slow reaction times.
Some levels can be lengthy and frustrating if your team wipes.
PC version had/has a glitch that eats your Steam Achievements.
Slightly higher difficulty causes some frustration in the beginning.
AI teammates can be frustrating.
A lot less narrative than I expected.
Matchmaking is still very problematic.
Campaign feels a bit disjointed.
Can get boring after a while.
Needs more weapons.
Gameplay essentials essentially unchanged.
Source engine looks dated.

Dave Get your friends online, turn down the lights, as those darned infected are back with a vengeance! Valve have released the sequel to last year's hit, Left 4 Dead, amidst controversy, boycotts, and rabid fan-boy enthusiasm, and once again turn...

After the protests are over, and the boycotts are all done, what are we left with? A game – that is all Left 4 Dead 2 is, a game. Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) was released in late 2009 for the PC, and recently came to the Mac via Steam. My review is based...

Left 4 Dead 2 is a great game. It is quite possibly Valves best effort yet, and considering the rich heritage of that company, thats saying something. It features great graphics, terrific sound design, astounding atmosphere, authentic...

So, one year later, and Valve has released the sequel to the well-received 4-player co-op first-person zombie-shooter (I’ve used up my hyphen quota for this review). Is it worth your time? So wait, why are we walking through this swamp...

Left 4 Dead 2 is a survival-horror first-person shooter, where four souls must fend their way through legions of undead to survive, a setting that references cult zombie flicks such as Dawn of the Dead. You and three other human players (or...

It can't be denied that L4D2 released extremely close to the original. Through interaction with players in game or reading through forums, I'd never encountered anyone saying it needed a sequel. Indeed, many people invested in L4D expecting...

Get ready for the most high octane, gore soaked, zombie thrill ride you’ve ever encountered. This is Left 4 Dead 2 and it is infectious…but in a good way.L4D2 OverviewAs a zombie purist I prefer my undead to shamble slowly as they struggle...

Just over one year ago, Left 4 Dead landed on the PC and Xbox 360, quickly exploding into one of the most highly regarded and recommended games of last year’s holiday season. Undoubtedly, it was one of the best multiplayer games of 2008 but was...

Left4Dead 2 is Valve’s quick sequel to their smash hit from last year, Left4Dead. Not being a huge First-Person Shooter fan, I was leery about trying the first game. I am glad I did; it was and still is a blast. And with L4D2, they have only...
