Fun.
A lot of action.
Highly addictive.
Isn’t too demanding in terms of system specs.
Realistic, engaging combat mechanics on both foot and horseback.
Wideopen gameworld to explore.
Thorough character stats and skills.
Best simulation of medieval combat so far made.
Horse combat is fun.
Community has already made more than a few good mods for the beta that are sure to be updated for the retail version.
Difficulty can be unforgiving especially at the start.
Hit detection occasionally makes absolutely no sense.
It will make you miserable if you have little patience.
So openended that the game lacks almost any semblance of structure.
Too many deadend villages and boring quests, especially early in the game.
A lot of little bugs and oddities.
Repetitive quests.
Elements outside of combat are rather weak.

Do you know the bad thing about having a Sunday Column? Apart from the divine wrath for abusing the sabbath, when there’s a sale on steam for the weekend or week it’s over by the time you read this. Luckily, I have a portable time machine! Like fuck I...

I was attracted to Mount&Blade from the first time I saw it. It's an underdog of a game (though some will – unfairly, I feel – truncate that to just 'a dog of a game'). Coming from a small development team – TaleWorlds,...

So I arrive at this village, right. I can’t remember what it was called. Doesn’t really matter now, for reasons you’ll understand shortly. I look around for a bit, and I find the village elder. I ask him how things are going, and he...

An innovative, free-form, medieval role-play game that has overhauled the rather stale combat systems of the past and injected some long overdue excitement and creativity into the genre. Paradox Interactive - Mount & Blade price Buy Mount & Blade...

Mount & Blade is an amazing specimen. The combat engine is by far the best element of the game, and that alone will keep you playing time and time again. The game does get repetitive, so spending many consecutive hours on the game will quickly kill...

The noble steed has been neglected in gaming for far too long, but now weve finally got a game that will allow us to kill a man as easily from the saddle as from any other position. Andrew Dagley...
