This is an acceptable effort for being the only game of its kind on the market, but PGA golf games could be better.

Another year of such refinements, rather than significant development in playing style, and fans will justifiably start to get restless. But for now they add up to a richly rewarding gaming experience and, together with the variety of modes on offer, they make Tiger Woods PGA Tour the undisputed world number one.

While PGA Tour 14 might not be as exciting as the last couple of years' versions, it is a more technically proficient and streamlined game, giving you access to the more exciting features of the game. And for online golfers, the Country Clubs and Connected Tournaments are the best this series has ever had.

This isn't the next big step for golf games, but adding quantity to the already existing quality of the simulation down on the links makes for another very good Tiger.
