The iPhone 4 offers enhanced performance, a lovely new display, and an improved design. It also adds a ton of sorely needed features, both by itself and through the iOS 4 update.
The phone gets a strong advantage with its ability to switch between cameras during a video call and its Retina display.
The Apple iPhone 4 features video chat and HD recording capabilities.
Cons
LED flash is weak and inconsistent, Flash produced blue cast in images when shooting in tungsten light, Getting the iPhone into camera mode and to first shot could be easier and quicker, Reds were soft and contrast was very high in test shots; colors, ...
Ridiculously expensive; Lack of Flash support; Absence of USB mass storage mode; No file sharing over Bluetooth; No FM radio; No widgets; No DivX XviD support
Hand placement can disrupt cellular signals, Glass front and back could prove overly fragile, Not able to play back HD video to external display
The Verizon iPhone 4 lacks world roaming and the ability to access voice and data simultaneously. The hot-spot feature didn't work with all devices.
Data rates slower than AT&T model, Hotspot interrupted by incoming calls, Poor overseas roaming options
Can't use voice and data simultaneously, Doesn't support global roaming, No 4G
No world roaming
Reception problems, Micro SIM support only, iTunes-dependent, memory not expandable
Glass front and back make cracking the glass twice as likely
Reliance on AT&T network slows service; welldocumented antenna issues.
Can't turn off video compression before sending to Youtube or Email, Multitasking feature is really task switching
Limited multitasking, Unreliable reception, FaceTime restricted to iPhone 4 owners
AT&T is sole U.S. carrier. Doesn’t sit in hand as comfortably as older iPhones. Glass finish is slippery and smudgy. Must be docked to upload HD video to YouTube.
Pricey, camera not the best on the market
Some apps pause, rather than run in the background, so you can’t leave a page to load while you do something else; less customisable than smartphones such as Android.Look and Feel...
Antenna issues, Still AT&T exclusive, No Flash support, Multitasking management sometimes awkward, FaceTime only works with other iPhone 4s
Still no card slot, Apps need updating, Autocorrect text annoying.
Still only AT&T in the States, Anecdotal antenna issues found, SMS tones still not fully customizable
Sharp edges, Less memory than 3G S; no 64GB version, Greenish screen tone, No HDMI out, Orange hue on indoor photos, No external camera shutter button
Smudge, scratch, and shatter issues await users who avoid cases. Antenna reception is more noticeably reduced under some conditions than on prior iPhones, particularly impeding cellular performance in certain indoor environments. Despite improved scre
Not a phone you want to drop, reception and call quality iffy.
Poor signal connection on some units, Sound quality could be better, WiFi needed for FaceTime
Cellular reception issues. FaceTime video calling is limited.
The phone one of the most important features is still frustratingly unreliable. Antenna flaw for some lefties is lame. White balance in photos and videos is slightly off.
No mobile hotspot feature, Lacks HDMI output, Data plan not unlimited, Signal degrades when you cover bottom left corner
Needs a case to function properly; can only run approved apps; stuck with AT&T
Old apps look rubbish on hi-res screen. No Flash. Battery life still not great
Multitasking entails some trade-offs, and home screen folders are limited to 12 apps. AT&T reception continues to be spotty, and you'll need a case for the best calling reception. Also, we'd prefer a 64GB model.
There is no option to expand memory or SD slot available.
This multimedia cell phone is only available in 16GB or 32GB.
