Asus provides an iterative update on its singular pint-sized flagship concept.

The Asus Zenfone 10 is a decent phone with a small screen, top-end specs, and all the hardware and software features you could ask for, but the camera and software support aren’t good enough.

Marmite-like design aside, the Asus ZenFone 10 is a solid compact smartphone with flagship processing power, all-day battery life and a hugely customizable approach to Android 13 – though it is very similar to its predecessor, and costs more money in 2023.

It's the best small phone for fans of compact handsets, but the Asus Zenfone 10 could pull users away from Samsung and Google flagships with top-quality performance and battery life. If you can forgive its more limited photography options and the shorter-than-average software support window, the Zenfone 10 is a top choice.

The Zenfone 10 continues in the footsteps of the 8 and the 9 and brings heaps of performance into an easily pocketable package. Its small size doesn't get in the way of achieving excellent battery life, the Snapdragon chip isn't all too bothered by the compact body, and there was room for the usual headphone jack, but also for the addition of wireless charging.

If you're looking for a smaller phone that's still powerful enough for gaming on the go, your options have become increasingly limited in recent years. It's refreshing then to see a company pack some high-end silicon into a device that doesn't require you to have hands the size of continents to use.

The Asus Zenfone 10 is a compact device, and even though you get a screen that's almost six inches, compared to modern behemoths, it's tiny in comparison. Thankfully, this is also a full-featured smartphone, offering flagship specs like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 16 GB of RAM in a compact footprint, all paired with a price that's more than fair for what you get.

The Asus Zenfone 10 takes what was great about the previous generation and improves on it without losing what made the phone so wonderful. It's still compact but full of high-end specs and helpful software features to make it to perfect small phone.
