The Seagate Barracuda XT hard drive supports SATA 6Gbps and offers fast performance and a capacity of up to 3TB. The drive is affordable and its 3TB version supports Windows XP well.
Speedy.
Very good 162 MB/s read bandwidth with ATTO Benchmark.

Cons

The drive heats up like a stove, Full capacity is accessible only after a workaround, The price can buy you more storage space if you get lower capacity drives instead.
The Seagate Barracuda runs rather hot.
Expensive. DiscWizard software slightly clunky.
