This is a fantastic media tablet, amazing speakers, top end screen with such a great thin and light build make it perfect for video and internet. It handles most games fine and the performance, in general, is very good. There are really only two things it lacks and possible deal breakers. No S-Pen support and no 3.5mm jack. If you can live without both, this is the Android tablet to get. It’s simply the best I’ve seen in a long time and the best of 2019 so far. You’ll not be disappointed.

While tablets aren't as popular as they used to be, if you're in the market for one the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is a great option for both business or home use.*We use revenue-generating affiliate links and may earn a commission for purchases made using...
Get the fundamentals of Samsung's top-end S6 tablet but for hundreds of pounds less and minus the stylus support. The screen and speakers and great, as is battery life, with weaknesses few and far between. The lack of 3.5mm jack irks, while we prefer the games and apps library of iPad OS, but that's about all that counts against this Samsung.
If you’re after a wonderfully thin and light tablet made for entertainment, the Tab S5e is made for you. It is all of those things, and one of the nicest takes on a mobile big screen, because it’s light, simple, and easy to get across.
The Samsung Tab S5e is a seriously credible table that has its own unique performance pedigree, I believe that the Android OS and the range of available Android apps coupled with Samsung’s DeX capability make this an ideal workhorse device, the sound is good and watching a football game is not only easy on the eyes the display is as good as many TV’s out there.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is probably one of the most interesting tablets launched by Samsung. The tablet is the slimmest and lightest we have seen so far and the display looks crisp in nature. The in-built Samsung DeX works fine, though it is not yet...
The Tab S5e offers an amazing display, a long-lasting battery, is super slim and elegant and has a very interesting, productivity-oriented software. We quite enjoyed our time with the Galaxy Tab S5e and if you are fascinated by the prospects of enjoying smartphone-related tasks on a slightly bigger yet portable screen, we have no qualms about recommending the Galaxy Tab S5e as an option on the Android side of the table.
While the Galaxy Tab S5e looks and functions almost like a mini laptop (with its DeX mode on and the keyboard cover attached), it can’t act as a proper replacement. However, if you need a mobile device that can give you a good binge watching experience regardless of where you are, or an easy-to-carry device that allows you to catch up on work while travelling, the Galaxy Tab S5e fits the bill well.
Really the only aspect that is a bit disappointing is the camera. Truly, it’s awful. It’s just fine for video conferencing on apps like Google Duo, but for taking photos, your smartphone lens smeared in fingerprint grease will still do a better job. This is spud cam, and there’s no doubts about it, but if you’re serious about taking photos that are worth taking, you won’t be using a tablet anyway.
If you need an Android tablet for regular use, and this is not your daily driver, the Galaxy Tab S5e is ideal given the budget. For someone who needs a tablet to be their main device with emphasis on a lot of editing, photo-editing, etc, I would suggest loosening the purse strings and looking for something more expensive and powerful, that might not be possible in the Android world.
However, if you're looking at a media-focused tablet experience, or are simply more comfortable with Android, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is definitely worth considering.
