The Xperia Z2 Tablet is a successor to last year’s Xperia Tablet Z. Like the Tablet Z, the Z2 Tablet is fully water resistant, packs a 10.1-inch WUXGA display, and is under 7mm thick. The most significant update is the specification bump to Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 801 SoC, plus there's an improved camera and a sizable weight reduction.

At this price point it’s hard to recommend the Z2 Tablet over the fantastic and well-rounded iPad Air; although if you’re not keen on iOS and specifically after a high-end Android option, what Sony has produced may be the best choice for you.

Among the thinnest, lightest full-size Android slates to date, the Z2 is fast, packs a great display, and is both attractive and durable. It's premium in every sense, competitive with Samsung's and Apple's best. Read...

The first thing that strikes you about the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is how thin and light it is. In fact, the Z2 -- not to be confused with Sony's other flagship, the Xperia Z2 smartphone -- is the thinnest and lightest full-sized tablet on the market, even...

The Xperia Z2 Tablet isn't without its flaws. I do wish they'd been able to cut the bezel down and thus reduce its overall size just a little bit, because as it stands even some “generic” tablet accessories will struggle to accommodate its rather...

The new Xperia Z2 Tablet may not look or feel much different than last year's model, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's still super slim and lightweight, and it's still waterproof, but Sony has implemented a few notable changes and upgrades to make its tablet better than ever.

Sony has impressed us again with its latest take on the tablet, and has created what could be one of the best slates to guzzle down media on. Its waterproof skills are still a treat, and as it’s lighter than the iPad Air, you won’t even notice it in...

There hasn't been a ton of Android tablets this year outside of the Samsung camp, so this is definitely a nice breath of fresh air. The hardware alone is worthy of your attention, though the software, while functional enough and pretty decent on the...

The smartphone market is not the only one Sony is hoping to make an impact in, with the company introducing what its vision of a high-end Android tablet is with the Xperia Tablet Z at last year's MWC. The first iteration was something that was very...

Sony’s take on the tablet world has never been to clone products made by anyone else, and its new tablet for 2014 proves this by evolving last year’s Tablet Z by making it better than ever, with a thin, light, and element resistant product. Is it...

When it comes to the tablet market, Sony seems to be stuck in neutral. We previewed the Xperia Tablet Z over a year ago to find that Sony hadn't yet found an angle for its lineup, resulting in an unremarkable device priced far above its more enticing...
