Memory Performance

The SiSoftware and EVEREST bandwidth performance of the Asus P6T Deluxe is amazing, thanks to the Core i7 processor, as it easily surpasses the Rampage Extreme which was paired with a Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. Even the on-die memory controller of the Phenom X4 processors cannot compete due to the FSB limitation.

Super PI is a great benchmark for measuring the effects of both processor and memory performance. As you can see, the P6T Deluxe when paired with the Core i7 920 processor is significantly faster than the Rampage Extreme/Core 2 Quad Q6600 combo. The P6T Deluxe was able to shave 33% of the time off the 16MB calculation when compared to the Rampage Extreme.
