Benchmarks: Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5

Street Fighter IV is not too graphically demanding by today's standards and thus we were not surprised to see the Gainward GeForce GT 240 managed to produce somewhat decent results here.

That said, it was still disappointing to see it only matched the performance of the GeForce 9600 GT at 1680x1050, while at 1920x1200 it was found to be 3fps slower. Needless to say it was much slower than both the GeForce 9800 GT and Radeon HD 4770 – about 22% and 19% respectively at the lowest tested resolution.

In Resident Evil 5 the GeForce 240 closely matched the 9800 GT, though as has been the case throughout this review, it was still considerably slower than the comparatively-priced Radeon HD 4770 at both tested resolutions. With just 45fps at 1680x1050 we were also far from impressed.
