Given games have only just managed to adapt themselves to dual-core processors, it is needless to say quad-core does very little for a performance boost in games.

As a result, the QX6700 performed much the same as the X6800 and E6700. Again, while the QX6700 slaughtered the Pentium D 950, despite having four cores it only matched the performance of the dual core X6800 and E6700.
