This past week developers, publishers, media, and other groups tied to the gaming industry converged in Los Angeles for the seventeenth installment of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). As expected, Nintendo offered the world a first look at its Wii successor – known as Wii U – and announced new titles for the 3DS. Sony formally unveiled their upcoming portable device called the PlayStation Vita, while Microsoft announced the newest games in the Halo franchise.
But beyond these announcements from the big three names in the console market, E3 is known for getting audiences buzzing about the hottest games of the show as trailers and gameplay footage are shown for the first time.
