GoPro HD Hero 3 Black Edition

The GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition features full 4k cinema resolution capabilities at 12fps. 2.7k resolution can be recorded at 30fps while 1080p video is stored at 60fps. The Hero 3 captures sill images as well at 12-megapixels. There is also a built-in Wi-Fi function and the Black Edition kits includes a Wi-Fi remote control.

We would like to see a helmet strap in the box as standard, but image quality is good in a variety of conditions, the design is reassuringly rugged, and the WiFi controls make operating a camcorder that may be attached to your clothing or a vehicle very friendly. There are cheaper action cameras out there, but the GoPro HERO3 Black Edition is a true professional tool.
