The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is part of the company's next iteration of Galaxy Tab devices. The Tab 3 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core APU paired with 1GB of RAM and a 4,000 mAh battery. There are two different models: Wi-Fi-only and 3G versions shipped with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. Of course, it does house a MicroSD (64GB max) slot.

Samsung's 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 feels like a device designed to fight some very specific enemies in the form of the original Nexus 7 and iPad minis. Unfortunately for Samsung, those are competitors that have since retired from the field and been replaced...

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is no landmark event on the tablet calendar, but it's an easy choice if you're looking for an Android slate to watch shows, browse the web and play the odd game on—for not too much money. It's a been-there-done-that kind of design,...

If you look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and add up all of these factors, it doesn't look good for the Samsung. Combine the high price, poor performance and below par build quality, and it's hard to find any reason to recommend this new Samsung...

In short, there are too many faults on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 to declare it the new gold standard in Android tablets. The lacklustre performance and plasticky build are the main offenders, but it's the lack of any standout reason to part with your...

Keeping in mind that Samsung didn’t design the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 to be a flagship, ultra-powerful device, we feel this tablet performed adequately for its intended use. With that said, there’s one key aspect of the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 that holds us back...

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 challenges the iPad mini with a slightly better screen and a somewhat useful remote-control ability, but the 10.1-inch version is a poor tablet whose screen, camera and overall performance are lacking. Images: Mashable,...

good+) The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has a number of pros and cons when compared to the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. On one hand, it isn’t as powerful, its display isn’t as nice and its speakers offer an overall tinny audio experience. On the other hand, the...

There's plenty of good to be had from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. But less so at this price point. It's pricier than the higher-resolution Nexus 7, and its plasticky construction just isn't as well made as the Apple iPad mini. And for once...

With Samsung flooding the market with phones and tablets, it's hardly surprising that they've release three, yes, three Samsung Galaxy Tab 3s. The baby of the bunch is the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 , the biggest Tab 3 is the 10-incher and the subject of this...

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, is so middle of the road, that we can't really make our minds up about it. It has no real major flaws, with everything from camera to design and user interface being decent enough. Nothing stands out though, which makes it hard to...

What is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0? The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is an 8-inch Android tablet that continues the Korean manufacturer's intentions to make a tablet in every size possible. It's the first 8-inch tablet in the Galaxy Tab range and is set to...

If you’ve read this far, you’ll have noticed that the overriding theme of this review is one of distinct average-ness. This device isn’t so nondescript per se that it’ll sink without trace, but it’s hard to see why anyone would opt for this over the...

So what is this new Galaxy Tab all about? It seems somewhat divorced from the rest of the Android ecosystem. Frankly, it almost doesn't make sense to have this device reviewed on an Android blog. Samsung isn’t competing with other Android tablets....

Samsung's newest tablet is finally here — the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. The first question that comes to mind, of course, is just how much better it is than last year's model? While it's no high-end device, it does do very well in the mid-range category....
