Benchmarks: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is another game that features tessellation and we tested with it enabled. Here the GeForce GTX 480 came out on top, beating the Radeon HD 5870 by a convincing 11% margin when measuring average fps. The minimum frame rate of the GeForce GTX 480 was also 11% greater.
We have seen no indication so far that the minimum frame rate results of the Radeon HD 5870 are unusually weak as they appear relative to the average, whether that means it comes on top or performs below the GTX 480 as is the case here.
The GeForce GTX 470 was a whisker faster than the Radeon HD 5850 this time, beating it by a single frame when measuring the average frame rate, while the minimum frame rate was 2fps greater.
