Weekend Open Forum: What are you playing this summer?

As we get into the dry season for game releases, I like to look back and catch up on some experiences I haven’t had time to get to (or finish). We will have to wait for September for FIFA, Super Mario Maker, the Destiny expansion, Might No. 9 (might be worth a shot I think) and well, my most anticipated release in many years: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

I unfortunately haven’t had the time to dive into The Witcher 3 completely so I am looking forward to tackling that this summer (no spoilers in the comments please!) and, the PS4 release of Shovel Knight will definitely be taking up some of time. I was planning on getting into Arkham Knight as well, but let’s just say the drone battles with that tanked-up Batmobile isn’t growing on me.

For this week’s open forum we want to know what your gaming plans for the summer are. Still waiting for Batman AK to work on your PC? Will you Xbox gamers be hitting up the Retro Replay in August? Any games you’re looking to catch up on or will you be spending the summer outside instead?

I just finished Darksiders and Murdered: Soul Suspect and I'm almost done with Darksiders II

Next on the list: Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

And I keep playing Hearthstone on the side.

I just got back into WoW. I left at the beginning of Cataclysm and spent a couple years in SWTOR (worst game ever). It's been really difficult finding the motivation to get back into WoW being two expansions behind, but I finally found the will quest my way through Pandaria and move on to Draenor.

I reinstalled Path of Exile and I am enjoying the new content. Also playing Grim Dawn and restarted Divinity: Original Sin.

Playing Witcher 2 right now, then Witcher 3, and then I will think if I feel like starting Mass Effect. I've postponed it way too long.

Mafia 2 & LA Noire because there's absolutely nothing out at right now worth a 2nd glance. I'd like to play Batman & GTA 5 but Batman is still broken and GTA 5 isn't on special yet.

Currently replaying the Bioshock trilogy. Then onto Portal 1&2 plus Portal Stories MEL mod. Might stick my head out the window at some point to see what this "fresh air & sunshine" thing is those weird non-geeks keep talking about... :-D

I've already finished Witcher 3 and Overlord 2. I think I might go for Legend of Grimrock, Arcanum, Divinity: Original Sin or Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel now. Or maybe I'll return to Lichdom: Battlemage, which is pretty awesome for short sessions, but becomes boring when played for too long. And then there's Rayman Legends, too...

Also, I should get back to NWN2 scritping (some people still play it, really!). And work on my programming project. And get some social life. Tough choices...

IRacing. Been racing since Nascar 2 came out. Kinda hard to stop now :) oh and a little SWTOR every now and then

I've been playing just CS:GO lately, not really interested in these newer games. After I get bored of it I will probably quit playing games until something really catches my eyes.

So far it's Crysis 1-3 and Mass Effect 2. After Windows 10 drops and I perform a clean installation on my PCs I will reinstall the most played games from my GOG, Steam, and Origin libraries and get deep with it.

I'm planning to play some more with RPG Maker VX Ace. I'll probably also play Sorcery! 2 and maybe buy part 3.

Replaying Borderlands 2 (PS3) with the wife. Also playing Dragon Age: Inquisition (PC). After Dragon Age I would like to get to Witcher 3.
