AMD Opteron vs Intel Xeon: Database Performance Shootout

Anandtech has done a 2 and 4-way Intel vs AMD platform [URL=http://www.anandtech.com/IT/showdoc.html?i=1982]database performance test[/URL]. Their results where very interesting, showing the weakness of the Xeon architecture and strength of the Opteron when moving to larger systems (4-way and upwards)
