iPod driving Apple's increased earnings

Apple posted this week figures corresponding to its Q2 sales, the manufacturer surpassed earnings expectations thanks to the impressive and ever increasing popularity of its iPod player, selling a total of 807,000 of the devices during the quarter.

[COLOR=#1951B9]For the quarter ended March 27, the Mac maker said it earned $46 million, or 12 cents per share, on revenue of $1.91 billion. That compares with earnings of $14 million, or 4 cents per share, on revenue of $1.48 billion for the same quarter a year earlier.[/COLOR]
