Opteron Doing Well

It might well sound the leader of the Transformers, but Opteron is certainly doing well in sales.

"[COLOR=#1951B9]Sales of AMD Opteron microprocessor – the world’s first and yet the only server chip that can run 32-bit and 64-bit code – for the first quarter of this year beat the aggregated supplies of the chip during the whole 2003, says a report.[/COLOR]"

You will be interested to know that during the last 12 months, many leading server and workstation makers including IBM, Sun and HP have jumped on the Opteron bandwagon.
