Great, one of the last ad-free entertainment options looks set to succumb. So now we have to pay to view adware ;) |

What a load of rubbish this is, I hope this never happens or instantly gets laughed at.........Please don't tell me we are finally gonna get rid of spam, just so we start getting annoying things happening in games, DVDs, etc....??!?!There was another story we covered a while ago that was about Blu Ray disks being able to download more media via broadband and change and adapt - surely someone is going to try to use that to sell us genital extensions and to meet virgins in your area... !>!>! |

WTH??? Don't they know what percentage of people use headphones while playing games? I dont, but I'm betting its big.-- 87.6% of statistics are made up on the spot. The rest are made up in advance. -- |

This is one of the best things i've heard in a long time. You ARE aware that there is product placement in all your favorite movies? you probably dont even realise it.now instead of "painkillers" in Max Payne, we'll have "Panado" or some such, is that really SO bad that you won't buy the game.Oh and becuase of the product placement the games will be cheaper.Have you even thought about this before you pasted your reply? |
Originally posted by Unregistered Oh and becuase of the product placement the games will be cheaper.
This statement is a complete fallacy. Games will not be cheaper due to product placement. When movies started showing adverts did the ticket or concession prices go down? No. In fact the theaters still complin about how the concessions are the only thing that keeps a theater alive. Video game manufacturers will most likely say the same thing. "Lower the price? Now that we have advertising in the games we don't have to raise the price on you like, um, we were about to do. Yeah, that's right." |
