Dell Debuts multi-format expansion card reader

Following in the footsteps of Gateway and Hewlett-Packard, Dell have updated their line of slim consumer Dimension desktop PCs this week with a multi-format expansion card reader. This is the first such implementation of this feature by Dell. The new Dimension 4700C will come with an media card reader that supports eight different expansion card formats. It will allow Dell PC users to move pictures and other files stored on Compact Flash or Secure Digital cards to their PCs. The Dimension 4700C measures only 13 inches high by 4 inches wide by 14 inches deep.

  1. actually, those have been shipping since June(the card reader). And just for the record, the 4700c is kind of a hybrid desktop/laptop, it incorporates many features from both and uses the new KillerBee case which looks like a small version of the Optiplex case.
