Things are not so good for AMD on the share price front, with its shares dropping by 20 per cent today. The share price drop is likely the result of profit warnings concerning the company.

Apple has debuted a new, low-priced iPod. Based on flash memory, the iPod is aimed at a low-end segment of the market. There will be two versions, providing 512MB and 1 gigabyte of memory respectively. The shuffle has no display screen to show songs or playlists, and operates on a principal of "random-play."

Corsair has launched memory modules with integrated LEDs. Available as 512 MByte DDR400 versions with CL2.0-2-2-5 timings, the modules can be configured to report RAM temperature, frequency, voltage and memory activity.
