Netcraft's anti-phishing toolbar for Firefox proves popular

Netcraft's anti-phishing toolbar has become available for Firefox, and it appears that the software is already popular. 60,000 users signed up for it in the first few hours, as compared to the 100,000 times the company's anti-phishing toolbar for Microsoft's Internet Explorer has been downloaded since its release earlier this year. Does this mean that Firefox users are much more interested in security?

Netcraft's toolbar fights against the threats of phishing by blocking access to reported phishing sites. Once the first recipients of a phishing email report the URL of a fake site, the site is blocked for any user that has the toolbar installed.
