Challenging the notion that USB Flash drives are just good for portable storage, FingerGear has introduced a USB Flash drive with an onboard OS and office software. Utilising a Debian-based Linux OS, the drive is currently available as a 256 MByte version and comes loaded with open-source productivity suite OpenOffice as well as Mozilla's Firefox web browser. All in all, there is 192 MByte of software there, leaving the user with 60 MByte for saving data. The drive is on sale now for $150.
