Electronic Arts announces more Lord of the Rings games

Electronic Arts has announced that it has acquired the rights to develop games based on the "Lord of the Rings" book series. This is in addition to rights it holds for titles derived from the recent hit movies. The company is already working on two new games in the series.

Electronic Arts today announced development of The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II. EA promises "to introduce players to depths of the fiction never before explored in an EA game."
