Popular BSD release FreeBSD 6.0 has been released! After a long wait with the 5.x series, version 6 is available for all standard platforms. Among numerous updates, 6.0 also includes much better wireless and WPA support (becoming more important every day), a multithreaded filesystem that can take advantage of dual-cpu and multi-core systems. There is support for various architectures including native AMD64. As with other releases, you can purchase media, or download the ISOs for free from a BSD mirror or from bittorrent, the link of which is available on the BSD site.
