German company makes a new offline Wikipedia DVD

In an inevitable move, Directmedia, a German publishing house, has made a large change to their DVD wiki. The current content of the Wikipedia website is available from them not only as a free download, but also in a print (DVD copy) version for a fee. Offline encyclopedias are very popular, and Wikipedia, being one of the most unique encyclopedias ever, is a great thing to have in offline areas. This is just a Germany-only thing as of now, of course. Likely, though, we'll see more of this for different languages by different companies in the future. The DVD as it stands is a whopping 7.5GB in size and contains several hundred thousand entries. An English version would likely be larger, but interesting and popular nevertheless.
