Asustek making plans for the PS3?
Could Asustek be gearing up to ship out large quantities of the upcoming and highly anticipated PlayStation 3? Absolutely, according to EDN based in China, where Asustek has a large presence. The company itself is denying this, and since it doesn't make sense for them to deny, it's most likely false. But it's an interesting theory nevertheless, and stranger things have happened in the past two years, such as with the chipset shortages that were “alleviated” multiple times. If Asustek does plan to have them shipped out, it would mean a huge revenue boost for the recently splintered company.
