Intel's vPro technology will contain an interesting new tactic for improving security. Using virtualization technology, where a system can be partitioned up to run different types of software simultaneously, Intel will set up a new kind of security checkpoint within a machine. This checkpoint can be used to guard a machine by monitoring network traffic into it and taking action if something looks fishy.
