Early business ideas on the Internet

Let's remember some of the biggest failures in the days of the Internet bubble. It's not hard to scream out loud "What were they thinking?", with such ideas that seem to be so ridiculous nowadays.

It is also true that other ideas prone to fail have succeeded and made millions in recent years. There is an increasing number of Internet-based businesses flourishing and gaining attention, but in the meantime why not remember and have a good laugh.

Take CyberRebate.com, which thought it could make money by giving stuff away for free. The online retailer, founded in 1998, sold an assortment of goods at heavily marked up prices (some items going for up to 10 times their retail values), but promised customers a hefty rebate that often amounted to 100% of the purchase price.
