McAfee acquires security management company Preventsys

For a long while, McAfee was almost completely under the radar when it came to software development, as bigger player Symantec stepped in and took a huge majority of the A/V and home computer security market. They've been making waves the past year or so though, and today they announced that they will be acquiring a company called Preventsys, which focuses exclusively on enterprise-level security management, a popular topic these days.

A large part of this will let McAfee use their tools to help companies come into accordance with various regulations. The Preventsys suite is an all-in-one solution for threat assessment that can use data from many different tools that are used in the enterprise. Will this help McAfee in the long run? You can't seem to go wrong offering security solutions at the moment, assuming it works.
