Google launches Government-only search site

By Justin Mann on June 15, 2006, 9:07 PM
Google has gone to many places and seen many things. Now, they are looking to go to the Government, and are releasing a search engine that is specifically for government agencies.

Today the company plans to announce a new online product aimed at being a one-stop shop for searching federal government Web sites. The launch of Google U.S. Government Search, , targets federal employees who often need to search across several government agencies.
Very interesting, and just a little spooky. Google is an advertising based company that has earned their reputation as a quality group that is trustable by most. Is this going to impact how others view them? It probably will... and what this will entail Google expanding to in the future remains to be seen.

Well, well, well....I wonder just what this really means; and of course, how far it will go.
