Lenovo to launch new worldwide services unit

As Lenovo starts to see some of the first successes with their notebooks since they took over the line from IBM, they are looking to start expanding their services. Recently, they will launch a services unit that will be responsible for worldwide Lenovo support. Heading up the unit will be Christopher Askew, who is a former service executive from Dell. Based in Singapore, the new unit will soley for the benefit of customer service. Askew was formerly in charge of Dell's service for much of the east, including Japan. Many predicted the fall of Lenovo when they acquired the Thinkpad line, but so far they are doing more than just holding their own.
