While rumors of a 100GB HDD upgrade for the Xbox 360 were quickly dispelled by Microsoft, it now seems more likely that an 80GB upgrade might be on its way. Recently, in a demo if its new Video-on-Demand service, a unit was shown with an 80GB HDD installed. Considering the size of downloaded movies, the stock 20GB a 360 comes with would be very quickly filled. Since most DVRs have larger storage drives by default and even included the ability to add more, it seems Microsoft wouldn't have much of a choice but to offer more capacity to get people interested in their services. Let's hope this type the rumors aren't dashed to pieces.
