Nvidia has announced their first large move in response to AMD's acquisition of ATI. With the nForce already being accepted as a decent platform for Intel processors, Nvidia will be expanding on that and focus greatly on integrated graphics being coupled with their chipsets. Especially in the notebook sector, Intel will be in need of a vendor capable of producing "cost-efficient" chipsets for their boards, due to ATI's departure, and Nvidia plans to be that vendor.

Originally, Nvidia had stayed away from this portion of the market, due to low potential and low margins. That's going to be changing, and so is their position.
