Apple releases security updates for QuickTime and OS X
Whether you are using Mac OS X or Windows, if you rely on QuickTime you are likely vulnerable to the bug which made headlines the past few weeks. After a relatively short incubation period, Apple has released a patch for QuickTime that addresses this issue, along with a revised Security Update package for OS X. The QuickTime flaw could result in system compromise from just visiting a site.
On the Mac only side, updates for AirPort and the built in FTP daemon have been released. An AirPort bug that caused it to lose connection after resuming from a sleep state was introduced, and this fixes that annoyance along with security flaw in the FTP server.
