Dell to release Latitude tablet
What has been a rumor for a long, long time has finally been confirmed by Dell. Later this year, they plan to offer a tablet version of the Latitude. While details are precious little at the moment, there will be a widescreen offering as well as biometrics. From the video posted on the Direct2Dell blog, the unit looks quite compact and lightweight. There is not yet an official press release from Dell concerning this machine, though I suspect it is Santa Rosa based. Likely now that this has been leaked, they will be releasing more details on it soon.
