PlayStation 3 price cut rumor crops up again
While the rumor mill has cranked this one out before, the state of the PS3 in the market today makes this one definitely worth watching. There are whispers abounding of a potential price cut on the PlayStation 3, starting the second week in July.
It is speculated that it could be either a retail-specific price drop for just Circuit City, which may be an attempt to bolster their own sales, or even Sony wising up. However, they refuse to comment:
We contacted Sony to ask how they felt about the price drop and they told us, "Circuit City hasn't announced any price drop on PS3, so we have no comment."
Pay attention to this one. We'll find out if it is true or false within a week or so, so stay tuned.
