Dell to acquire Windows monitoring company
Dell has come out recently to talk about their strategy to recover from dismal performance the past year, and a large part of that strategy focused on what many other companies, such as search giants Google and Microsoft are doing, acquisitions.
Now, Dell has announced that they will be purchasing a company called SilverBack Technologies, which specialize in monitoring large amounts of Windows machines. Given Dells' somewhat shifting focus to services from hardware, it makes sense that they would be looking to expand their reach in such a market.
The cost of the acquisition for Dell or other terms surrounding it were not released, though you can read the official press release at SilverBack's site.
