Toshiba recalls more Sony batteries in recall aftershock
The battery recalls that cause so much headache for consumers and businesses have for the most part waned, with programs in place to deal with it and most of the problems solved. However, there are still many people out there with potentially dangerous units. Toshiba has recently initiated a small recall of battery pack, affecting about 10,000 units.
Of the 10,000 units, only half are actually susceptible, but Toshiba isn't taking any chances:
Only 5,100 units of the 10,000 packs are potentially defective, but Toshiba is recalling double the amount to make sure all the battery packs containing targeted battery cells are exchanged.
The batteries were all, of course, manufactured by Sony, and have the same defect that so many others did the past few years.
