More Google in the news, it seems that the current CFO of the exploding-growth giant has decided to step down within the next few months. George Reyes, who has been with Google for their very busy past five years, is retiring from his position as their CFO but not giving a specific reason:

Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) announced today that George Reyes has informed the company of his intention to retire as Chief Financial Officer. Reyes indicated that he will remain to assist in the search for a new CFO and to assure an orderly transition, which Google expects will occur by the end of the year.
If all goes as planned, he will step down before the end of this year. Google made the announcement earlier today.

It seems he is leaving on good terms, with CEO Eric Schmidt saying good things about him and his work in the past five years. Obviously Google has done extremely well and continues to do so.
