Intel's X38 and X48 almost here
If you are looking forward to the upcoming X38 “Bearlake” chipsets that Intel has on the way, some sources are claiming they will be here as early as this month. On top of that, the higher-performing X48s are also expected before the end of the year.
The X38s will all be based on a 1333MHz FSB, and last month there were mentions of the new chipset being ready sometime next week. If Intel makes that date on time, it might give AMD a bit more to battle since they still have months to go before Phenom-based platforms arrive.
