MySpace and Skype buddy-up for voice IM?
MySpace and Skype are preparing to cuddle in an e-relationship that aims to make both services more popular. MySpace wants to let their users link their accounts to existing Skype accounts, which will allow people on MySpace to communicate via Skype in a fairly easy manner.
The idea is quite novel, and it would surely enhance a social networking site to have a sort of “click to talk” function on everyone's page. Given that Skype turned out to be a bad investment for eBay (initially), it seems a great way for Skype to find new avenues to get customers.
The announcement is not yet official, but is expected for tomorrow. More details as they come.
