3DMark creator Futuremark opens dedicated games studio
Finnish company Futuremark, perhaps known best for their 3DMark PC benchmarking software, has announced a move into game development with the establishment of its Futuremark Games Studio to create its very own IP.
The company has reportedly spent the past two years building out an engine and about a year and a half developing its first game. Though Futuremark isn’t prepared to give any specific details on the game itself such as a genre, they are promising “stellar performance even on modest platforms right up to the most enthusiastic levels of performance hardware,” and have already begun searching for a publisher.
