Apple TV 2.0 delayed a week or two
It has been a couple of weeks since the Macworld 2008 keynote and the MacBook Air is now officially shipping. The Apple TV update, however, which will allow users to rent high definition movies directly from the living room, is not quite finished.
The company said that it now plans to make the free software update available to current Apple TV owners “in another week or two,” but gave no further explanation as to what caused the delay. The update will give Apple TV access a movie rental catalog of over 1,000 titles (by the end of February), including over 100 titles in HD video with 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound.
