Another botnet owner has been found, arrested and is now facing jail time
. Robert Bentley, 21, is accused of infecting many machines, particularly those owned by an European company, controlling the machines remotely through the malware infections. Bentley is facing a $250,000 fine and up to a decade in prison in the U.S. where he was located when he launched the attacks.
Late last year, the FBI arrested
8 people for operating botnets, as part of a larger plan to reduce the number of these groups around the world.
